Picking Out a Color
Now if you are selecting a color for a Kitchen (99% of kitchens are not small enough to use remnant pieces) or you're selecting for a large Master Bathroom, or maybe have a new construction home and need to just view a vast amount of color choices, the wholesale stone yards are the place to go. Baton Rouge has 4 wholesale yards where a large variety of slab colors are on display for your viewing. The fabricators all purchase your stone from any one of these yards when they do your job. Some fabricators have a few colors at their shop that one of the yards has let them hold on consignment and will have you come to them. Ricon doesn't like this because it limits your choices. Now the only bad thing about going to the wholesale yards is that they are "wholesale", no one there can give you any information about pricing your job. You just go there to write down a few color names that you like, then contact us to find out pricing or to answer any other questions you may have. Below is a list of the 4 wholesale yards here in Baton Rouge. Ricon does not have a preference. We do buisiness with all 4 and generally they are all equal in price. Depending on whether or not you will need to select multiple slabs or just a smaller piece of stone will determine where you need to go. First lets say that you just need a piece of stone for a single bathroom vanity, or maybe two smaller vanities, less than 20-25 sq. ft. You would want to come here to Ricon and select a "Remnant" or left over piece of stone we have from a previous job. We have over 1000 different pieces to choose from ranging in size from 2 square feet all the way up to pieces that are larger than some full slabs. We are able to offer these at a discounted rate because Ricon does not charge for the full slab. When we do a job for you, we only charge for the stone we bring into your house. We then absorb the cost of the left over stone and sell them to other customers at a discount to recoup our cost of the material that was wasted.

Ricon offers several edge profiles that you can choose for your stone. 3 are included in the price and we have several more "fancy" type edges that are done for an additional charge per linear foot of edge.
